This modern hotel is situated in the same grounds as both the Sofitel Old and New Winter Palace. These three hotels share amenities and are set in peaceful, lush gardens across the road from the Nile. The Old Winter Palace is the main hotel a very grand, stylish hotel built in 1886. It has many original features and furniture.
The Winter Palace Pavilion was built in 1996 and is a modern block set in the gardens of the Old Winter Palace. This hotel is situated in central Luxor and is approximately 20 minutes from the airport.
Accommodation
All 116 rooms offer either king or twin sized beds with balconies over looking the beautiful gardens or swimming pool. All rooms have air conditioning, satellite TV, telephone, minibar, hairdryers, spacious well equipped bathrooms with bath tub and shower. Interconnecting rooms and non smoking rooms are also available on request.
Facilities & Services
There is a great selection of restaurants to choose from, including in the Old Winter Palace- “La Corniche” for an a la carte dinner and the “1886” French restaurant (jacket and tie /advance booking essential) In the New Winter Palace there is “Bougainviller” main buffet style restaurant and in the Pavillion Hotel there is “El Tarboush” oriental restaurant which serves traditional Egyptian food daily, except Saturdays. In the New Winter Palace there is a coffee shop and in both Old and New Winter Palace hotels there are bars.
The hotel share a large outdoor swimming pool, sun beds and umbrellas surround this area. There is a pool restaurant and bar for light snacks and drinks and a BBQ area for dining during the summer months. Shaded by beautiful trees is a Bedouin corner where one can sit, have a drink, and smoke the shisha pipe, occasional evening entertainment is in this area. Also available within the grounds are pool and table tennis tables. Other services include shops, laundry service, 24hr reception, and hairdresser
